Komoka Kings take home a 6-1 Victory from St Thomas
Kings move within 3 points of the St Thomas Stars in the conference standings and have 2 games in hand in the Kings 6-1 win in St Thomas on Friday night.
Newcomer Dillon Ward led the Kings with his first 3 goals as a King. The Kings started strong with several early shots and at 5:13 of the first period Luc Arsenault scored his 4th of the season with assists by Joe Capirchio and Cameron Welch to take a 1-0 lead. Komoka took a 2-0 lead at 7:34 when Dillon Ward scored his first as a King assisted by Joel Mazzilli and Wes Dobbin. The Stars came back with a goal at 13:42 to end the first period 2-1 for the Kings.
Dillon Ward scored his second at 10:40 of the second period with assists from Wes Dobbin and Joel Mazzilli to end the second period at 3-1 for the Kings.
At 6:02 of the third Dillon Ward scored his hat trick goal for a 4-1 Komoka lead, assisted by Wes Dobbin and Joel Mazzilli. At 10:39 Joel Mazzilli scored on the power play, his 17th of the season and assisted by Blake McConnell-Barker and Wes Dobbin. Jacob Rochford finished the scoring at 11:39 with assists from Cameron Welch and Kurt Watson for a 6-1 Komoka Kings victory.
Kings outshot the Stars in each period and 36-18 overall including 11-1 in favour of the Kings in the third period.
